Equipped with lush furniture, a large patio and a great bar staff, Zanzibar has become a hot spot for the underground music scene in Houston and on November 25th, Bigg Fatts turned it out. The show featured performances from Milo, Young Scotty, Cooley Kimble, D-Boy Danny, Sho Stoppa and Base. All of the artists gave Fatts street crowd a taste of their greatness including Base’ remake of Bigg Fatts’ “All Work”, Duck’s performance with Bigg Fatts on their summer joint “Too Turned Up” and a hilarious performance from Cooley Kimble on a song he attempted to perform with Onehunnidt and Fatts.
Yet the true highlight of the night was when Bigg Fatts finally hit the stage to perform songs from his recent EP, “Appetizers”. I’ve never seen him give off so much energy into a single performance and at some point I had my fingers prepared to dial a swift 9-1-1 because I wrongly assumed he would pass out by the end of the show.
If you haven’t feed your musical hunger with the tracks served on Appetizers, do yourself a favor:
